Step-by-Step Order Process

  1. Step 1 — Initial Consultation (Week 1)

We meet at our Ontario studio by appointment. Bring inspiration images, existing jewelry, your ring size if known, and a clear budget range. We’ll discuss design direction, material options, and diamond parameters.

What to bring: Inspiration images (Pinterest, screenshots, clippings) · Existing jewelry to incorporate or redesign · Ring size (we can measure in studio) · Budget range · Important date if applicable
  2. Step 2 — Design Development & Diamond Selection (Week 1–3)

We present 2–3 design concepts based on your brief. You’ll review IGI certified lab-grown diamonds in person or via detailed certificate data — selecting cut, carat, colour, and clarity. We refine the design through collaborative revision until you’re fully satisfied.

Deliverables: Concept sketches · CAD rendering and 3D model · Diamond shortlist with IGI certificates · Detailed material quote
  3. Step 3 — Design Approval & Deposit (Week 2–4)

Once you approve the final CAD rendering and quote, we issue a formal order confirmation. A 50% deposit is required to begin fabrication. We accept credit card, debit, and e-transfer.

Order confirmation includes: Final design rendering · Itemized quote (materials + labour + design) · Production timeline · Deposit invoice
  4. Step 4 — Fabrication (Week 4–8)

Your piece is handcrafted in our Ontario studio. We use solid 14K or 18K gold (never plated) and your selected IGI certified diamond. Multiple quality checkpoints occur throughout fabrication — we’ll send progress updates at key milestones.

Fabrication stages: Metal casting or fabrication · Shaping and forming · Stone setting by certified jeweler · Polishing and finishing · Engraving (if applicable)
  5. Step 5 — Quality Inspection (Week 8–9)

Every bespoke piece undergoes a rigorous multi-point inspection before delivery: prong integrity, setting security, surface finish, structural integrity, and dimensional accuracy against the approved design.

Inspection checklist: Prong tightness and alignment · Stone security (no movement) · Surface finish (no scratches, pits) · Clasp or closure function · Weight and dimension verification
  6. Step 6 — Delivery & Documentation (Week 9–10)

Your completed piece is delivered with full documentation. The remaining 50% balance is due before shipping or pickup. In-studio pickup or fully insured shipping available across Canada.

Included with every bespoke piece: IGI certificate for your diamond · DEEVE packaging · Lifetime warranty documentation · Care instructions · Order record for insurance purposes

How long does a bespoke order take?

6–10 weeks from first consultation to delivery. Design development takes 2–3 weeks; fabrication takes 4–6 weeks. Rush timelines may be available — confirm at booking.

What gold options are available?

Solid 14K or 18K gold in yellow, white (rhodium finished), or rose gold. Never plated, filled, or vermeil. See our 14K vs 18K comparison →

What diamond specifications are available?

IGI certified lab-grown diamonds in all major cuts, 0.25ct to 10ct+, color D–J, clarity IF–SI1. We recommend VS2 or better for eye-clean appearance. Learn about IGI certification →

Can I use my own diamond or existing jewelry?

Yes. Bring your piece to the consultation. We’ll evaluate the stones and metals for quality and suitability, then discuss redesign options.

Do bespoke pieces come with a warranty?

Yes. All bespoke pieces are covered by DEEVE’s lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects, setting integrity, and craftsmanship.

Can I make changes after design approval?

Minor changes may be possible before fabrication begins. Once fabrication starts, changes are limited. We work through multiple revisions before approval specifically to avoid this — take your time reviewing the CAD before signing off.
