What is the difference between 14K yellow, white and rose gold?
All three are 14K gold at the same purity — 58.3% pure gold. Yellow gold is alloyed with copper and silver for a warm classic tone. White gold is alloyed with palladium and rhodium-plated for a bright finish. Rose gold uses a higher copper ratio for a blush tone, which also makes it the hardest of the three.
Will 14K gold tarnish?
Solid 14K gold does not tarnish under normal conditions. The alloy metals can cause minor surface dulling over time, which is fully reversible with gentle cleaning. Avoid prolonged exposure to chlorine, harsh chemicals and abrasives.
