These lab-grown diamond studs hold 1 carat in total, about 0.50 ct in each earring, set in solid 14K white or yellow gold with an IGI certificate. How is the 1.00 carat total split between the two earrings?

Half a carat in each ear. The 1.00 ct figure is the two stones together, not the weight of a single stone.

How does the 1.00 ct compare with the 0.50 ct and 1.50 ct pairs?
