In Brief

A diamond hoop sets a continuous line of stones along the band, so the earring shows diamonds from the front and the side. Every DEEVE diamond hoop is 14K white gold set with natural diamonds, conflict-free and responsibly sourced, from a slim line at 1.5 carats to two-row pavé at 7 carats. Free worldwide shipping, with delivery in 5–7 business days.

The Guide

How to Choose Diamond Hoop Earrings

Decide first how much sparkle you want to wear every day. A slim hoop of small stones, like the two-sided line at 1.5 carats, reads as fine jewelry at a desk; 2 carats across three rows or in a shared-prong setting is a step up; 3.5 carats of larger prong-set stones and 7 carats of two-row pavé are for evenings and occasions. Then look at where the stones sit: two-sided and double-sided hoops show diamonds from the front and from the side. Check the closure last; most pairs close with a hinged snap back.

How many carats should diamond hoop earrings be?

It depends on how often you will wear them. DEEVE's diamond hoops run from 1.5 to 7 carats: around 1.5 to 2 carats suits daily wear, 3.5 carats in larger stones reads as an evening piece, and the 7-carat two-row pavé hoop is the fullest. The carat figure is the total weight of all the diamonds set in the hoops.

What does two-sided mean on a diamond hoop?

A two-sided, or double-sided, hoop is set with diamonds on both the outside and the inside of the band, so stones show from the front as well as the side as the hoop turns. DEEVE's oval, slim, three-row and two-sided prong hoops are all set this way.

Do diamond hoop earrings come in yellow gold?

The diamond hoops here are all 14K white gold, which keeps the metal bright around the stones. For hoops in yellow gold, see DEEVE's gold hoop earrings, where the diamond-cut and twist styles bring texture without stones.

Settings and Carat Weight

The setting decides how much of the hoop shows diamonds. The slim two-sided hoop carries 160 small diamonds at 1.5 carats; the shared-prong hoop sets 70 diamonds at 2 carats, the three-row double-sided hoop 400 at 2 carats, and the oval two-sided hoop is also 2 carats. The two-sided prong hoop holds 24 larger stones at 3.5 carats, and the two-row pavé hoop carries 460 diamonds at 7 carats, the fullest coverage in the range.

Weight and Closure

Most pairs close with a hinged snap back, which clicks shut and keeps the hoop in place. The three-row hoop weighs 3.69 grams and the two-row pavé hoop 8.61 grams, so the fuller settings are worth trying on before wearing all day.
