Diamond hoop earrings in solid 14K white gold, rhodium polished, with 70 natural round diamonds in shared prongs totaling 2.00 ct, I–J (near-colorless) and I1–I2 (included). Rhodium is the reason white gold looks white. Gold alloyed toward white still leaves the bench closer to gray than to silver, so the finished piece is plated in rhodium, a platinum-group metal both harder and brighter than the gold beneath it.
