0.15ct Diamond Heart Pendant Necklace in 14K White Gold

Three diamonds carry the whole 0.15 carat total weight here, and that ratio is the piece. Most small hearts in this range are covered in twenty or thirty specks of melee. Three stones of genuine size behave differently, because a larger stone has larger facets, and larger facets return light in distinct flashes rather than a continuous shimmer.

The heart measures 0.31 inches in each direction, small enough that the setting stops being a matter of taste. These are pavé-set: seated into cuts made in the gold and held by tiny beads raised out of the surrounding metal with a graver. Prongs would take up more room than the diamonds do at this scale, and the shape would vanish behind its own settings.
