A polished chevron pendant necklace in solid 14K yellow gold on an 18-inch link chain, about 1.5 g. No stones, one angle, and nowhere to hide. A chevron in plain polished gold puts everything on the vertex: the arms have to be the same length, the angle has to be identical on both sides of it, and the point has to stay crisp rather than rounding off in finishing.
