A round end tubogas cuff bangle in solid 14K yellow gold, 3.9mm wide and about 8.2 grams, with 0.26 ct of natural diamonds in the end caps. Tubogas is Italian for gas pipe, and the name is literal. The technique wraps a continuous ribbon of gold around a form in a tight spiral, with no solder and no links, so the finished band flexes along its whole length while looking like a single seamless tube. It was borrowed from industrial tubing in the 1920s and has never really been improved on.

That construction is why this cuff opens to the hand and springs back to the wrist without a clasp. The flex is in the gold itself rather than in a mechanism, which means there is nothing inside it to wear out.

The band runs 3.9mm and terminates in prong-set round diamonds at each end — the two points a cuff actually presents to a viewer, since the ends face forward while the body of the bangle curves away. Setting the stones there rather than spreading them along the band puts the light where it will be seen.
