Stones run the entire circumference, so there is no blank stretch of shank to cut out or spread open. Making one larger or smaller means unsetting stones, reworking the metal and setting them again, and past a certain distance it becomes a remake rather than a repair.

Two things are worth knowing before you order. Fingers are at their largest at the end of a warm day and their smallest on a cold morning, so a measurement taken once is a measurement taken at one point on that curve. And width changes fit: a 4.29mm band has far more surface gripping the finger than a narrow one and will feel tighter at the same nominal size, which is why wide bands are often ordered a half size up.

Because the diamonds continue the whole way around, the ring is made to size rather than resized later — so confirm your size before ordering, and note that wider bands wear snug.
