Every emerald cut has its corners taken off, and on a ring worn daily that is the most useful thing about the shape. A true right angle in a diamond is a thin wedge of crystal with almost nothing behind it, and it is the first place a stone chips. Truncating the corner removes the weak point and hands the setter a flat facet to grip instead of a spike.

That trade matters more in a band than anywhere else. A ring with one raised stone presents it upward, where most of what it meets is air. A band is a rim. It takes contact along its outer edge all day, against desks and door handles and a steering wheel, and every stone in this ring is an edge stone. Each one was engineered out of harm's way before the setter ever touched it.

3.00 carats sit across a 3.8mm band, prong set, the prongs landing on the cut corners that the geometry already provides. Between them the long faces of each stone stay uninterrupted, which is where a step cut does its work: broad horizontal flashes rather than fine sparkle.

Because the diamonds continue the whole way around, the ring is made to size rather than resized later — so confirm your size before ordering, and note that wider bands wear snug. Carat weight then sets the presence: 2.00–3.00ct total reads as a fine, everyday line; 4.00–5.00ct is the balanced middle; 6.00–8.00ct makes the band the centrepiece, with width scaling from roughly 2.9mm to 6.4mm alongside it.
