A 4.60mm oval rolo chain bracelet in solid 14K yellow gold, 7 inches, about 3.2 grams. A necklace an inch too long is still a necklace. A bracelet an inch too long slides forward over the wrist bone and lives on the back of the hand; an inch too short and it will not close at all. Fit is the one thing about a wrist that is not negotiable, which makes it worth knowing that this is among the simplest bracelets in the case to alter.

Every link in a rolo is an independent closed ring carrying a single solder joint. A bench jeweler opens one, removes as many as the wrist needs, and closes it again with the repair nowhere to be found. There is no pattern sequence to interrupt, no directional link to reinstall backward, no clasp assembly to rebuild. It comes at 7 inches and can be brought in for a smaller wrist without ever looking shortened.

Drawing those rings oval instead of round is what produces the 4.60mm face. The long axis of each link falls into line with the run of the chain, so more metal faces outward per link and the bracelet lies flatter to the skin than round rings of the same wire would manage. There are 3.2 grams in it, which is light for that width.
