A twisted link chain necklace in solid 14K yellow gold, about 3.7 g at 18 inches. Twisting gold changes the metal, not only the shape. Cold work of any kind, drawing or bending or twisting, hardens a gold alloy as it deforms, so a twisted link comes out stiffer than the wire it started as.
