This solitaire engagement ring holds a 1.5 carat radiant-cut lab-grown diamond in four prongs on solid 14K gold, white or yellow. Its IGI certificate lists G (near-colorless) color, VS1 (very slightly included) clarity and Excellent polish and symmetry.
At one and a half carats a radiant shows off its mosaic of small, quick flashes. The rectangular face gives it a modern, structured shape, while the brilliant facets keep it as bright as a round. It is a good middle ground for anyone torn between the sparkle of an oval and the lines of an emerald cut.
Grown by chemical vapor deposition, the diamond is graded by the International Gemological Institute, and its report is delivered in the box. A lab-grown diamond costs approximately 70% less than a natural one of the same size and grade.
